Zimbabwe’s foreign relations this weekend

A British website reports that the Zimbabwean prime minister will go to southern Korea for a bilateral deal tomorrow.(1) The coverage implies that President Mugabe favored the trip with the following line that a website italicized: “But we get solace from the science of electricity where one needs a positive and a negative to get power.”(2)

President Mugabe himself has already undertaken a trip to Iran according to one report.(3) The report says that deals with Zimbabwe never seem to materialize once made, whether with Iran or China.

MIM readers paying close attention to between-the-lines matters should connect the report of the Zimbabwean trip to southern Korea to another report on northern Korea.
